Mar 29, 2014. #7. I believe that 1.5" hot rolled square tubing will fit in 2" square tube with 3/16 walls. It won't fit in 1/4" wall. There might be some slop left to right and up and down with the 3/16" wall. You could have your 1.5 " steel tool arm milled to the appropriate dimensions but that is adding complexity.

2020.4.15 Great set of plans and were I building a new 2X72 grinder they are what I'd use. Aluminum construction is for sure as sturdy as steel construction and easier to work with, and perhaps less expensive. The ONLY drawback I've seen to aluminum is threaded screw holes that are in constant use, and that's easy solved by use of heli-coil inserts.

2012.6.21 All items are inline in that vector regardless of placement. Its the same with the TW-90, since all suplemental tooling is indexed off the singular tooling arm. In fact, with the Wilmont grinders, even the LB-1000, you could use the same approach to index off any single tooling arm and expand each slot.

2011.11.12 Most charts use 200-300% as the max suggested rate. Using a direct drive with a 6" wheel, on a 1750 RPM 3Ph motor and a VFD will make the KMG belt run at normal grinder speed. 2017.7.10 i have been looking at the different 2x72 belt sander plans out there. Is there any consensus on a favored design? 2011.12.7 Dec 8, 2011. #8. Two options: 1) Get/make a 56C mounting bracket. It is a 90° bracket with the 56C hole and bolt pattern on the upright, and the base foot drilled for flat mounting. Construction method is to make a face plate and a base plate and to weld them at 90°, and add gussets. 2) Get/make a "universal" mounting .

2,520. May 14, 2013. #5. The best price I could come up with was @ $1200 doing it myself (using the Wayne Coe design). That would have been with a NEMA 4 VFD and a 1.5 HP motor. That was supplies only and using good wheels. A Pheer grinder with similar attributes would have been @ $1500.
